What a fun and delicious tour! Our guide Emiliano was wonderful. He skillfully guided us to the various eateries, giving info. about the history of the area and the food along the way. Our group was a bit rowdy which made the tour even more fun! From Old World recipes to classic recipes to street food, we had the best tastes and best time!

Emiliano was the best guide. Really he was. He knew the area well and everyone knew him. The places we went to had the best food and wine. There were only four total in our party so let's just say there was plenty of drink for all. We had arrived in Rome earlier that day and our loft was in Trastevere so it was excellent to start our week getting to know our neighbors.

What a treat! I have dined in Trastevere many times, but our fabulous, funny and knowledgeable guide Leo revealed some intriguing spots I never would have found on my own. We tried a wide variety of Roman classics, both modern and historic, and some lovely wines. Leo set a great tone for the evening.

10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Our guide Loriana was amazing!! She was so knowledgeable about Trastevere’s history, culture, and of course - food!! I also appreciated how attentive she was. Most in our tour group had just landed in Rome within hours of the tour, including us, and this was the first stop while VERY jet lagged. Loriana made sure we all kept pace together with plenty opportunities to rest when needed. With this tour, about 12 folks met as strangers but yet each one left with a new or two friends. From the very first stop at De Enzo for appetizers & Prosecco to the pork shoulder favorite of Julius Caesar followed by a porchetta sandwich then traditional Roman street food before two different types of pasta and last but not least the Real Gelato—it was all soooo delicious!! The bites are modest and you may be concerned that it’s not enough food however with all the wine and walking in between and the build up from meal to meal, stop to stop—no one was complaining of hunger. We were all pleasantly surprised by how content we were. This is my first time in Europe/Italy but my 2nd time using Viator to curate experiences. Again: 10/10, highly recommend!
