Frustrated and disappointed

Wasted day. Paid for two adults but the tour company had only one name on record. They wouldn’t let our 2nd adult in to join the tour. So, we didn’t go and are trying to get a refund. Make sure you have passports and names for everyone in your party.

Amazing views of the coliseum, It was difficult to hear the guide’s commentary at times due to surrounding noise and his accent. It gave a close up view of the arena floor

I found this tour to be longer than it needed to be as it wasn’t engaging, and very little helpful information or history was provided. (Or maybe it was lost in translation). The guide was very nice (can’t remember her name), but this tour in general just wasn’t for me. No matter what, you still have to wait in lines, but I do think the benefit of the group tours is being able to maneuver through the line a bit more quickly, but because you have to go through multiple gates and lines throughout the tour, you can’t just ditch the group once you’re in. With that said, if you have time constraints, I would not recommend this tour or tour provider (Show me Italy).
Bad experience and not even trying to solve the problem

I had a problem with this company I had a voucher with 4 adult tickets and your voucher never says the names on tickets … One of the tickets had the same name on 2tickets which you would see it was a mistake. If the voucher had names on it we would have caught it right away. The company even wrote me and asked us to change times and addressed it to me and I said yes but want a new voucher with correct time. I got a reply back that rebooking changes are not visible on booking platform ( I guess just like you can’t see names on voucher) … I called viator and they sent me new time on the voucher with just saying 4 adults ….. When it was time to enter they told me I couldn’t go because my name was not on one of tickets and they had my cousin name down twice. This is funny because they used my name in emailing about the change of time and said to make sure the person name on voucher had an ID. They didnt say anything about anyone else. Mind you we had vouchers for other tours in Europe and they just went by how many people were on voucher. I would not use this company again because they were no help getting this solved ….
Jubilee 2025 Construction Causes Problems

Due to all the construction in Rome because of the upcoming Jubilee in 2025, we were unable to make it to the meeting point on time. There are fences surrounding structures which obstructs the buildings. Taxi routes are blocked. Finally we found the meeting point when a local led us to the spot. The company gave us our tickets and then we were on our own. There was no attempt to contact the leader of the tour we were assigned to, so that we could meet up with them. We just did the best we could. I would highly recommend that the company inform the people, who have signed up, of the fact that their route may be obstructed due to the Jubilee construction and to add extra time to get there whether by walking or public transportation.
