Not worth the money

Purchased skip the line Eiffel Tower tickets. The only line we skipped was the purchase ticket line which was short. Had to wait in two other lines. We were told there is no such thing as skip the line. Big waste of money Viator tickets cost 3 times more than the tower ticket office.
Great views but some inconveniences

We were so excited to obtain tickets for the lift to the second level. The operation and organization of the event was smooth. Loved the tower and sights from the second level. Magnificent views, able to take many good pictures. Thank you!

Such a great thing to do. We took the steps upto the 2nd floor - hard work but not as bad as we thought! This line is much quicker and you can just walk straight up whereas there was a queue for the elevator. Brilliant views - we couldn't get tickets for right to the top but it didn't really matter and tickets for the 2nd floor walking up were much cheaper. Tour operator were brilliant with communication, getting the time slot we wanted and providing the tickets, would recommend them.

I got a taste of the magic of lê Tour Eiffel the night I arrived in Paris. I went for a walk along the Seine and found myself in front of le Tour. I was crossing the street when all of a sudden, a young man knelt down and proposed to his girlfriend!
I was not going to need any wooing to fall in love with the Tour, but even with that, the magic of being close enough to touch it was almost surreal. It’s a building I’ve known forever, seen on TV shows and movies, but awaiting my turn to go up I could barely contain myself.
I went at 1030 on a grey, cool day, which was perfect. The crowds were not massive and there was plenty of room to get a photo.
I definitely recommend going up to the Sommer…. Why go to Paris if you’re not going to see it all? The view of the size of Paris was jawdropping.
I had a sandwich and café au lait on the second level, tasty and affiordable but passed on the champagne at the top- €23! Although if I’d just proposed to someone that wouldn’t seem so bad.
My recommendation overall for Paris is make your plans and buy your online tickets as soon as you decide to visit. Almost everything requires advance booking and not all of the sites require no effort at all. I did see a ticket booth onsite at the Tour but I absolutely would not chance it if I’d already had time to book in advance.
