- 10 inch shorts are fine since they are reaching knees
- Flip flops and sandals are fine as well

Our tour of the Vatican museums, Sistine Chapel were great! There wasn't a tour of the Basilica but the guide gave us lots of information before our time with her finished and we went into St. Peter's to explore. Our Oct 2024 visit definitely had some missed exhibits due to all the restoration work preparing for the Jubilee beginning in December. For us it wasn't a deal breaker. We weren't going to see anything in particular and I dont think it made our experience any less amazing. Our guide (don't recall her name) was so knowledgeable and has been doing these tours since 2009!
