When to Visit

Spring (April to mid-June) and fall (September to November) offer mild weather and fewer crowds. Summer brings vibrant festivals but also tourist throngs, while winter showcases magical holiday decorations and potential bargains.

Getting Around

Paris boasts an efficient public transportation system. The metro is your best bet for quick city traversal, while buses offer scenic routes. For a romantic twist, try the Batobus, a hop-on-hop-off boat service along the Seine.

Must-See Attractions

1. Eiffel Tower: Book tickets in advance to avoid queues. Sunset visits offer breathtaking views.
2. Louvre Museum: Home to the Mona Lisa and countless other masterpieces. Check opening hours and consider a guided tour.
3. Notre-Dame Cathedral: While closed for restoration, the exterior is still awe-inspiring.
4. Sacré-Cœur: Perched atop Montmartre, offering panoramic city views.
5. Arc de Triomphe: Climb to the top for a unique perspective of Paris's layout.

Hidden Gems

1. Canal Saint-Martin: A trendy area perfect for picnics and people-watching.
2. Musée Carnavalet: Dive into Parisian history in this recently renovated museum.
3. Parc des Buttes-Chaumont: A local favorite for its dramatic landscapes and hidden grotto.

Culinary Delights

No visit to Paris is complete without indulging in its gastronomic offerings. Start your day with a croissant from a local boulangerie, savor a leisurely lunch at a sidewalk café, and treat yourself to a Michelin-starred dinner.

Try these quintessential Parisian dishes:
- Steak-frites at a traditional bistro
- Falafel in the Marais district
- Macarons from Ladurée or Pierre Hermé

Reviews for Versailles Small Group Guided Tour With Tranportation From Paris
Great tour!

Exactly as described and what we wanted! The transportation was smooth and efficient, we got in right away (skipped the line), and our tour guide was full of knowledge. We wanted a half day trip to Versailles (many options we see take the majority of your day and we only had so many days in Paris) so this was the perfect relatively quicker/more efficient visit for us!
Great experience!

Great experience from start to finish. Arrival and check in at Paris Tour office was easy. Commute to Versailles was enjoyable. Our guide, Michelle, was informative, friendly, and kept the tour moving nicely.
Adequate, but not above average, tour

Guide was attentive and memorized the script well. However, he couldn't answer most questions satisfactorily, perhaps because he could not understand them. His English was either rudimentary, or his accent was so complex that he was not easily understood. He was a good driver, but the bus we had was really too small for the number in our group.
Wonderful and well organized tour!

Versailles is really incredible and the tour is so interesting. We skipped the line and got right in. The guide was very knowledgeable.
Not inspired

Pretty well organized … but not an inspired tour. As is expected, lines, and lots of them are the main reasons this tour is not that good. Even when you thought it was going to clear and allow good viewing another large group would crowd in and make it bumper to bumper people. Not pleasant. The guide was good yet not totally inspired. The company was easy to find and easy to get to our destination.
