57 Heritage Desert Safari

Having sampled many of the other desert safaris over the years while on holiday in Dubai, I thought I would give the new name to the market, 57 Safari, a try. Being a Land Rover enthusiast the heritage safari using 1950s series 1 Land Rovers was the main appeal. Other operators use open top Land Rovers of varying vintages and I was keen to see if this was any different. Our guide collected us from the hotel in a modern 4x4, he contacted us by WhatsApp to confirm pick up times, and kept us informed as to his progress and his on time arrival. Great communication. We were taken out to the desert to pick up the Land Rover in the conservation area. A line up of 86" series 1 Land Rovers in immaculate condition awaited us. The desert tour was spectacular, with time spent to stop and admire the Arabian Oryx, silverfish lizards and other creatures. To appreciate the desert in its beauty, you must be in it, in the open topped Land Rover, to see the colours, to smell the desert, to hear the old vehicle working, to smell it, to smell the hot engine, to be part of it. You can never appreciate this from within an air conditioned luxury vehicle. And on to camel rides, to the luxury feast at the desert camp, all freshly prepared in the first class kitchen with nothing hidden. And the entertainment, a mix of traditional and modern, truly fantastic, performances to take the breath away which I've never seen before. Words do not do it justice. This is one amazing experience. And don't worry if its suitable for children, if their tastes will be catered for . My 9 year old son said that this trip was the best part of the holiday, and I have to agree. Children's food was brought out much to his delight, and we all left with full bellies! At the end of the night the lights were turned off in the camp to allow the beauty of the stars to be truly appreciated, no light pollution to ruin the view! I really can't say how good this trip is. If you are considering a desert safari, do this one. We were treated as friends, welcome guests, rather than just a customer, a number, as other larger operators seem to do. This is a small company, they care, and it shows. Thankyou, we will definitely be back to do it again!

My family and I had a wonderful time on this excursion! The company was very communicative and organized! They responded to all my questions when I reached out and were on time and flexible when we were running late. Our guide and driver Riaz was amazing and he was super accommodating in ensuring my mom who was in a wheelchair could still enjoy all the festivities that 47 safari had to offer. He went out of his way to make sure my mom didn’t have to walk far since you can’t use a wheel chair in the sand/desert. In addition, I would say this tour was everything we were looking for and the food was delicious. As vegans, I was surprised with how tasty the food was and my parents and relatives who aren’t used to Mediterranean and Arabic type of cuisine really enjoyed the 4 course dinner. The tour was intimate and really personal. We also had a great waiter from Gambia named Ibrahem who was so attentive and friendly and made sure we had plenty of food and drinks to eat. Our favorite performance was the fire 🔥 show. And we enjoyed how engaging the performers were with the audience. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone as everything is inclusive and there are no hidden costs.

The team at 57 Heritage were welcoming and accommodating from the time they picked us up at the hotel to drop off. We chose to do a private safari which meant we weren’t part of a group and had a car to ourselves. The heritage safari is exactly as described. My husband (as did I) loved the 1957 Land Rover and wished he could take one home with him. The food and service surpassed expectations. You will not leave hungry. The camels are sweet and very well looked after. On our safari we were fortunate to see Gazelles and the White Oryx. The falcon show was a favorite. Entertainment during dinner was cool too. Asam out driver was super informative and we learnt a lot about the history of the desert and Dubai along the way. A must do and it takes you away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

We made a good choice by selecting the 57 Safari, they made the desert safari a memorable experience.. the host Amir and person at the dinner table Ibrahim treated us so well and it was a pleasant experience.. I definitely recommend them for a wonderful experience..
