We has an amazing pilot. The sunrise is spectacular in the desert. No issues with pickup to drop off. The whole experience was quite pleasant and memorable.

Early start, so if you’re not an early riser this isn’t a good idea. Was told 4am pickup, that the day before changed to 3:30am. The driver was lovely however. The drive to the desert is 50mins to an hour. Then you’re waiting around at camp for an introduction. Then waiting again at the balloon point for them to be blown up, approx an hour. Fortunately I took a jacket and didn’t dress for summer as the desert at night is cold (if you didn’t know). The experience its self was amazing, an hour in the sky is a very long time. So if you’re not sure don’t do this. The balloon was shared with 10/28 people. Which I found abit rubbish since it cost me £800 for two of us to do the experience. Great money maker for the guys doing this experience. Once the ride is over back in the car and to the hotel. Cars are shared with other people on the experience so drop offs aren’t always quick and easy depending on who’s first in line for pickup and drop off. Got back to the hotel around 9:15am. I’m glad I did it but for the money I wouldn’t do it again.

One of the most memorable moment I’ve ever experienced. Definitely worth getting up at 3AM for..! (@hi_tola). I give it a 10/10.
Do the Balloon Only, Probably with a Different Operator

The pick up went smoothly, the driver was on time. For the pickup though, it was a shared vehicle so bring 6' tall it wasn't fun sitting in the third row of an SUV for an hour. The hot air balloon itself was fantastic, very cool and well done. I felt safe the entire time. The operators were very knowledgeable. Before the balloon ride tea, instant coffee and boxed cookies were provided. I'd recommend stopping here -- the breakfast, camel and falcon for an extra $100+ usd per person was not with it. It was honestly awkward and weird. They brought us to another area/camp for the buffet breakfast that had fresh OJ, instant coffee, tea, salad, pastries, smoked salmon, deli meat, scrambled eggs, hotdogs, and beans. After you ate you had 15-20 minutes to take turns riding the camels in a circle for 2-3 minutes and holding the falcon for 1 minute. Most people at this point didn't even do the ride or hold the falcon. The ride back was carpooled again, taking 1-1.5 hours since we went all over town for different dropoffs. For the money paid we really should have had separate cars given someone people were at hotels 30+ minutes apart.
