Bad experience

Bad experience, we booked the pick up for 8:00 AM, they contacted us to say that the pick up will be 10:30!!!
As the operator offices were closed we couldn’t contact them until 6:30 that morning
We spent 4 hours chatting and the initial response was that 8:00 was not possible but 9:00 could. We asked for 8:30 but waiting and chatting was worthless
At 10:00 they asked us ti share the tour with other two people saying that that was the only option ti start the tour, at the end we waited for the two people and never showed up!!!
And a tour presented as 9 hours was 6!!!!

Driver was really good but the experience with Viator guest service and with the operator eas terrible!!

Our guide picked us up from the port on time and spent the entire day showing us all the best sites in Rome. He was receptive to our list of must sees. He was on time after our tour of the Vatican museum. Overall it was worth the price to see everything we wanted to see in the one day we had in Rome. HE drove is to within feet of each major attraction and let us spend as much or as little time as we wanted at each site. Great experience!

Marco Chimenti was absolutely amazing! We couldn't have had a better driver for our nine hour tour of Rome! The car was very comfortable and we had ample water for the day. He not only took us everywhere we wanted to go, but took us to the "off grid" Rome where we saw amazing sites and experienced activities that we otherwise would have been unable to do. We loved the fact that several of our stops were more private with much less crowds--if any. He customized those stops based on our preferences--including a fantastic restaurant on the outskirts of town.
When it came to visiting quintessental Rome, Marco dropped us off right where we needed to be and was there within two minutes of us calling to let him know we were ready to move on.
We HIGHLY recommend this service and Marco in particular!
Not Worth the Cost!

Tour promised an English speaking driver who would give history, points of interest, etc. Our guide could barely speak English! He would take us to a spot point where to go and wait on us. We had to google it if we had questions. We very quickly quit asking what certain buildings were when driving by them as he did not know or we could not understand him. We were so frustrated that we bailed 2 hours early. We are really wishing we would have taken a bus tour with a knowledgeable guide and saved the additional $500 that this tour cost us. Did not even receive guide pamphlet that is promised. Total bust!! Save your money!
The highlights of Rome in a day

Our driver/guide was Marco. He did an excellent job allowing us to see everything possible in Rome including the Coliseum, Forum, Roman baths, Circus Maximus, etc while allowing us to site-see a bit on our own during lunch. As it was a Sunday, the Vatican was not available though Rome has so much to see that we were never bored. We recommend not only this tour but also Marco as your driver.
