Awesome museum, not enough variety

There is some very interesting pieces in the museum, but it began to feel very repetitive. The museum took away from the spectacle of the Sistine Chapel, do the abridged route, if you can.

"Amy from City Wonders was very knowledgeable and very funny. She was very personable to the attendees and knew how to pace her tour effectively. She had very interesting anecdotes and responded to questions in a timely manner. She had the difficult job keeping everyone together while navigating the Vatican with a million tourists around, but maintained her composure through it all. I normally am not one to do guided tours, but I would highly recommend her to anyone coming to Rome. "
Disappointed but enjoyed what I saw

Not enough time to see everything and enjoy. Didn’t get to Sistine Chapel. Would have booked tours separately to see both . Book in morning to give yourself more time if mobility is your problem
Totally Worth Skipping the Line

This is 100% the best way to go. The lines were incredibly long and I can’t imagine waiting in it with children or even without! We liked that we could do our own tour with Rick Steves free guides. Again going with a tour through the museums to the Sistine chapel would have been very painful with our teens and pre teen. It was nice to walk through at our own pace to get to the Sistine Chapel. There are so many people and most of them are on tours. We were able to arrive at the Sistine Chapel and fine a place to sit and really enjoy and learn more about the amazing work of art at our own pace. The tour company gathers you and gives you tickets and then directs you where to go but someone very official looking tried to tell me to go to the back of some line, but don’t listen to them!! Go where the tour people told you to!
Terrible Experience

I was not given the tickets I paid for nor was I refunded. I was sent to a location to pick up my tickets and it was the wrong location. When I called they said too bad you forfeit your tickets because it’s now past your entry time. I came home and sent an email to Viator (they contract companies to fulfill in app ticket purchases) for a refund and they denied it. I am very unhappy and will never use this service again.
