Best Time to Visit:
Stonehenge is open year-round, but the site is particularly magical during the summer and winter solstices. Early mornings or late afternoons offer the best light for photography and a less crowded experience.

What to Expect:

The visitor center provides fascinating insights into Neolithic life and the theories surrounding Stonehenge's purpose. Don't miss the reconstructed Neolithic houses, which offer a glimpse into prehistoric living conditions.

Insider Tips:
• Book tickets in advance to avoid disappointment, especially during peak season

• Dress warmly and wear comfortable shoes – the Salisbury Plain can be windy and the ground uneven
• Consider a guided tour for a more immersive experience

Beyond Stonehenge:
Extend your visit by exploring nearby attractions:
• Avebury Stone Circle: A larger, more accessible Neolithic site
• Salisbury Cathedral: Home to one of the four surviving original copies of the Magna Carta
• Old Sarum: The site of the earliest settlement of Salisbury

Conservation Efforts:
Stonehenge faces ongoing conservation challenges. Learn about English Heritage's preservation work and how you can contribute to protecting this ancient wonder.

Reviews for Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, And Oxford Day Trip From London
Perfect teaser of three great locations

This is a perfect “taster” tour. Approx 2 hours at Windsor, 75 minutes at Stonehenge, 90 minutes at Oxford. Yes, there is a lot of driving, yes, you’ll feel a little pressed for time, but that is the point if you’re going to see three completely different destinations in one day! Andy was a lovely and bright tour guide, and a huge huge thanks to Alex and Richard with Evan Evans for helping coordinate us meeting up with Andy since we were late in the morning!

Guide was good but we would prefer British guide, this trip was in English and Portuguese, which we did not expect
Good Trio with expert guide and coach driver.

This trip was good. Both Robert and Mentor were very kind. Robert spoke and he is extremely helpful with the insights while traveling. This is only ideal for younger people and who are good to walk swiftly. If anyone has walking issues and can’t move quickly it’s a big problem for them and for other passengers as this is purely time management based. Robert was extremely helpful to assist few elderly people but they in fact had to just wait near the coach area and could not compete with the younger people around.
The experience is worth the amount paid.

The trip was amazing, you get to see 3 of the most famous sites in one day. I just wish we had more time to spend in Windsor Castle, since there was a long line due to which it took about an hour just to get in. Also we didn't have much of a time to explore Stonehenge or check the gift shop since we had to wait in line just to take the bus to/from Stonehenge to the visitor center. James was an excellent guide. He had amazing knowledge and was interactive with everyone in the Group.

David the tour guide was really good and informative. Just found the trip too rushed. Places like Oxford and Windsor warrant more time. But it was a sneak peak to what the place offers. Found the cost rather expensive.
